Turbine Compressor

How are turbine and compressor blades (for a jet engine) produced/manufactured?
I thought that the wings of a plane itself would be made from shaping metal sheets, with internal supports providing the structure, but the airfoil blades (rotors) within the engine must be much stronger, and so how are they made? I thought about large CNC mills/lathes, cutting a block of steel/aluminium (whatever) into shape, but I'm not sure if that's along the right lines.
If you have any good links, please post them too. Thanks
DS/Single Crystal Processes...
"Current aerospace trends have placed a premium on engine performance and fuel efficiency; and, since performance and fuel efficiency both increase as the gas temperature inside the engine increases - this has created a need for airfoils that operate at higher service temperatures.
Demand for such airfoils has led to two advances on the grain structure of airfoil castings: directionally solidified (DS) and single crystal casting. Both advances are attempts to increase the high-temperature threshold of airfoil applications by altering the grain structure of the metal. (Grain boundaries are the weak link in cast parts.)
DS blades and vanes are solidified in a way that essentially orients all grain boundaries in the alloy in a single direction. As a result of this longitudinal grain alignment, both ductility and resistance to thermal fatigue is improved.
Single crystal castings eliminate grain boundaries altogether, as parts are produced that consist of a single crystal. The current method employed to produce these castings requires the most stringent control of the solidification cycle and the entire investment casting process."

Sure, but don't get it.
The seller doesn't mention at all who built the turbo. I found the ad, and it very specifically makes no attempt to show the side of the turbo, where the manufacturer would be stamped.
Nevermind that the specs on the turbo are far larger than what you would need for your car.
The intercooler is a cheap, universal knockoff.
I'd avoid it, and get a name brand setup, so you have at least a company standing behind it, and maybe a warrenty.

First…the lemon law only applies to new cars. I don't know why people keep thinking it is for used as well. Second….you have to take responsibility for some of what has happened. You had the right to have the vehicle checked out and to investigate it's history. You also had the right to read the contract and have anything you did not like or understand addressed. Some dealers are pushy…but that is when a smart person gets up and walks out. Any time a vehicle is brought in for repairs you are entitled to a copy of the written estimate. You also need to authorize any repair that exceeds that estimate by a specific amount (I think $200). I would recommend finding another shop because it sounds like this one is "taking you for a ride". Report them to the AG if you haven't already and make sure to follow up with any pertinent information.

Barter Trade Swap Looking to trade my 2000 Toyota Celica GTS and 240sx coupe. Celica does not run and needs a rebuild but includes TRD Kazuma Racing exhaust(no longer made) UR Light weight pulley’s, Hotchkis sway bars, cold air intake, steel brake lines, drilled rotors, ACT 4 puck unsprung clutch and 3 point Sparco Brand Harnesses. 2zzge Engine still intact (same engine used in Lotus Elise). 240sx coupe is a shell and is missing front fenders, front bumper and headlights. The Celica does have very minor rear quarter panel damage on one side. Looking to trade for possibly a pre runner, full rb25det swap (for just the Celica), motorcycle, tuner car or whatever you got I’m open to all trades don’t be afraid to ask. Would be willing to sell Celica for 4k$ negotiable. The 240sx I’m only willing to trade along with the Celica for the more high end trades no separate sale thanks. text- 4807035529 or email only, with pics of your trade Toyota, BMW, Audi, Honda, Kawasaki, Acura, Volkswagon,…
