I need a diesel engine with lots of low-speed torque. How ?


What would be the basic design requirements ?

If a a standard engine does not have enough low speed torque buy a gear reducer to go with it. Speed will go down and torque will go up as per the ratio you choose. Make sure the incoming and outgoing shafts match the engine shaft and the load shaft.

    If no one saw you in the car and you don’t say you are in the car you should be OK. My dad once ran his car off the side of the road drunk and went home. When the cops showed up he was drunk but they didn’t get him at the car – so they went away and he passed out. Funny thing is he wanted me to drive down the street so he’d have somewhere warm to wait while the tow truck was on the way.
