music transfer from pc to mac (special case)?

I need to know the best way to tranfer my music from windows media player library to itunes on a new mac (cds, flashdrive?). keep in mind that i am using a creative zen micro and have downloaded a plugin that should let it work with itunes. however, i dont want the files to end up aac encoded or whatever. THANKS GUYS

Find your files on your PC.
Drag them directly from the file they currently reside in, to the DVD window. If you're transferring them to the drive, then drag them to the drive window.
In Itunes, Drag all of these music files to your Itunes main library window.
Itunes will play most formats, but it might switch them to AAC format, so keep a backup of your files.
