what's the function of the friction band on a automatic transmission?
I have a 4 speed automatic transmission. It doesn't goes into 4th gear and reverse, might it be the friction band or something else. I have changed all the clutches and the band, but I don't know how tighten it has to be. maybe the servo has to move some 3/4 of an inch to stop the drum. does anyone knows how how tighten it has to be. it is a 1999 nissan quest.
the band adjustment on the outside of the trans is bring adjustment down to snug than back off 4 turns then tighten the nut. if you do not have reverse you have another problem have you changed lip seals in the trans?which are the rubber o-rings in the drums and bottom of case for reverse.also that band comes on in second gear so if you have second you might also have a problem with the servo if i remember right that is a three piece servo you might have a piston backwards or as in above you also have o-rings in there and tha o-ring on the piston for 4th might not be any good

the guillow piper super cub 95 parts help.?
i am making a super cub 95 can someone tell me the parts you need to make it petrol yes i now its better electric.
what servos Fuel tank glue paint radio Gear engine paint brush every thing.
and tips on making if possible thanks
