Lead Wire

Where can i buy some HDD LED wire/cable for my computer?

i found a online store a couple months back that sold the wire and led together in all colors and lengths. But now i can't find that store and really want to buy a bunch of them for case modding.

i don't have that stuff/time to make them and really could use them, thanks
( I'm looking for the 2 wire cable that hooks to the motherboard that is orange and white)

In the extension cables section in Cables their are some extension cables for the power swtich, power led and reset switch, maybe that could help you.

How can I wire LED blubs to pulse w/ the music I play?

We're getting ready to have a party here at my dorm, and I have been chosen as the DJ (since I'm the only one who has been to Sensation and can actually prove it). I was wondering, can I just splice some LEDs into a 35-mm cord that jacks into my computer and get the pulse effect? If not, how do I do it? Just something simple please. No micro-processor blah blah blah crap. Just keep it simple.

You want simple? OK, no you can't do that.

Too simple? Here is the reason why. Different colored LED's use different voltages and currents to drive them ( I am talking about raw LED's you buy at an electronics store like Radio Shack). So in order to drive the LED's correctly you need the correct voltages and currents for each. So first you would need a separate power supply for each. Then you would need a way to pulse the voltage from each for the LED's to pulse. What you want to do is very possible but not the way that you want to do it.

Here is an example of what you could to with your pc IF it has a parallel port. But as it says, it isn't bright enough for a party.

At the very least you'd probably need the triac driver circuit hooked up to your power supply ..

As you can see it isn't easy or simple.
