How much can a Carbon Fiber Hood help my Mazda rx8? Would a body kit slow it down?

HOw many seconds faster would a carbon fiber hood increase my cars acceleration? Would it even make it faster? Would a body kit slow it down, i just want to add a front bumper. What is th ebest thing i can add to my car that will really improve it speed and performace, i can spend Up to
500 $. Sorry for all the questions. Ha. Answer as many as u can. Thanks alot

The hood only translates to weight savings. It might help a little bit, but most of it's for looks.
A body kit will usually slow you down (mor surface area=more drag) unless you get a good kit that is installed CORRECTLY. If you just get some flimsy cheap-@$$ set out of a catalog, it won't do it's job, which is to simply re-direrct the air in a more efficient manner. Most kits are simply for looks, functionality second.
Performance: Get a chip, Cold air intake, turbo/supercharge/NOS.
Or even better, go buy a Corvette and foret about that RX8. The problem you are up against is the fact that you will never get tons of anything out of that car. It's already set up near it's max potential and the only real thing you can do now is turbo or twin turbo to get any real results out of it, but adding a turbo is a bee-yotch and if it gets messed up, you're out some big buck$!!!!

In this article, we will be discussing the decent elements of Acura body kits and the five steps on how to achieve the new look for your Acura car.

Acura Body Kits: Essential Elements

First off, we have to start and consider the elements that make a decent body kit. Actually, there are various body kits to choose from and what you will choose really depends on the design and purpose you have in mind.

Basically, body kits usually come in four parts: 1 front bumper, 1 pair of sideskirts, and 1 rear bumper. Body kits may sometimes be also referred to as ground effects—lowering your ride and giving it a new look. Furthermore, Spoilers, hoods and any kind of part that replaces a factory body piece is also considered as kit.

Regardless of the fact that whether or not you consider other body elements as part of a kit, you have to make sure that you order them at the same time. Ordering the hood, the spoiler and other ground effects at the same time will allow them to be painted much easier.

Acura Body Kits: Choose the Right Kit

Step 1. Because of the wide range of kits available in the market, you will quickly realize that you will never run out of choices in picking the right kit that suits your car. Since most brands out there work perfectly fine, the only thing you will have to worry is about choosing the look of your car. Make certain that you take time to look at all the selections and from there, decide the look that best fits your personal style.

Step 2. After you have chosen the best style that fits your taste, you need to consider a lot of things before going ahead and placing an order.

How low will your car be after the body kits are attached?

Will you be needing custom lights or exhaust to go along with the kit?

Considering and answering these questions ahead of time will save you some money and disappointment. It’s not good when you’ve gone ahead installing a kit without realizing that you need projector headlights as well to match. Or that your car have gone too low that driving it would be impossible without any suspension upgrade.

Step 3. After you have chosen your style and carefully considered these questions, you can now go ahead and order the parts that you really need. Do not forget to order accessories like lights, and grills to go along with your body kit.

Step 4. Spend some time looking for a body shop while waiting for the parts to arrive. It is good to gather some few quotes and choose from the cheapest. You will be surprised to know that the price range from a local body shop differs from that of another local body shop. When your kit finally reaches you, the only thing left to do is bring it to your chosen body shop and have it installed or painted.

Step 5. After installing the kit, make certain that you give your car a test run. A slow and easy test run will help you gauge if your suspension is stiff enough and that there aren’t any loose bolts that will create rattles.

When after these important steps you are sure that everything is already working perfectly fine then you are done. The only thing left to do is stand back and simply admire your car. Using Acura body kits is a simple way to turn your old beat-up Acura car into a brand new one!

they both have their good and bad points:

Rally, cheaper, easier to work with, especially if the dog is already obedience trained. Rally is just following the signs the judge puts out – the dog should tune in to you, so as you are working with his obedience work at home, do the side steps, back steps, finish to front, and other rally commands. The dog will pay more attention to you, which is good in the long run, not just for the rally trials.

Agility is great exercise, especially for the energetic breeds like a lab. However, as you say, it is more expensive for training, very difficult or impossible to practice at home, and can be harder to train the dog. However, it is a lot of fun, and also helps burn energy in the dog so they get the exercise they need while spending time with you.

Personally, I work both of them, in conjunction with formal basic obedience. Rally can be worked at home in the back yard, and you don't need any special equipment. If you are familiar with the commands a judge may put out, you can work through these when you doing your normal obedience work with the dog. Then, you can have fun with the dog in agility. It does take a lot of time, however, I found I had the time and the dogs were not getting bored with the training.

Hey, great blog, just stumbled on it. I’m a business librarian at the University at Buffalo with an interest in OA. Late comment here, but thought I'd chime in, for what it's worth.

Regarding your q: “how often is formal peer review used for business scholarship in general?”

It is safe to say that the scholarly output of business and management faculty, including scholars at HBS, is generally published in peer-reviewed journals at the same rate as other social sciences disciplines.

The Harvard Business Review is a unique-ish case – it’s one of a few highly regarded “practitioner” outlets for biz research. MIT Sloan Management Review is the other biggie, but there are others. These journals are more practical, less theoretical — aimed more toward providing actionable advice for “real-world” businesses. Both are not peer-reviewed but are extremely selective and ranked mid/upper pack by ISI, Thomson, Web o’ Science.

I'd echo Stevan Harnad (I think) and say that the model used by the mandate itself is the real key to how effective the mandate will be at opening up access to Harvard's business research.
