Helicopter Replacement Rotors

The tail rotor on my Mini RC helicopter broke and I have a replacement but I need help.?
I have the replacement, but when I put it on, it spirals out of control. If I look at the original and the replacement, they look identical!
What is wrong and how can I fix it?
You need to make sure you have the tail rotor oriented correctly. It is possible to install a tail rotor backwards in some cases, which would just make your heli spin like crazy.
I could give you a better answer if I could see/knew exactly what type of tail rotor you have. However, generally the tail rotor must blow air to counter the rotation of your main rotor blades.
E.g.:
- if your main blades rotate clockwise
- tail rotor pushes the tail clockwise also
This stops the tail's tendancy to rotate counter to the direction of the main rotor blades.
Alternatively, depending on the type of heli, you may have issues with your tail gyro adjustment, tail gyro direction setting, or tail servo linkage adjustment.
Hope that helps

How do you remove the main rotors on a CML Mini Vortex RC Helicopter?
Hi, a while back I bought a Mini Vortex heli from a model shop, and one of the main rotors has broken. I bought a replacement rotor but I don't know how to remove the main rotor and fit the new one. I have searched all over the internet but have found no answers.
Do you know how to do it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! =]
good question... I dont know either... but seeing how the it is designed, you might need to take out the top rotor in order to do the bottom one, or just the top one if you broke the top one. Anyways... you say you have the replacement rotor. Look at what needs to be connected in the new main rotor and work backwards. Anything that needs to be connected in the new main rotor, take it apart from the helicopter itself and then figure it out. sorry, this is the best I could do... I dont have any good photos on the internet for me to see... maybe if you took some I could see.

I havent found any replacement parts for this myself. But I would guess they are simply not offered because the cost of the entire toy is pretty low $9.99.
Even if they did offer 6 replacement discs in a bag they would probably want to sell it for at least $5 for them to bother. And for that you might just buy another toy. It would be nice to have, but unlikely.
For example Radio Shack sells an RC “Mosquito” helicopter for $69
and sells two replacement rotors for $9.99
That is a 7:1 ratio from replacement part to full toy.
But brands like Nerf do sell extra foam darts for their toy guns. But those darts can be used in multiple toys in their product line. Zoom-O, made by Blip Toys, on the other hand is a relatively new brand. And I think only that one toy would use those discs.
Sorry, if I see something I will post it.

I’ve driven cars with bad drum brake systems and I have also driven cars with bad disc brake systems. I never had to complain about the 4 wheel 12″ finned drum brakes (with aluminium front drums) I had in many older Buicks (including my current 1965 Wildcat). I have the optional front disc brakes on my 1967 Riviera GS, while they do stop better and they are more fade resistant, they are also more expensive to service (I had one 4 piston caliper rebuilt once at the price of 400$!) and replacement rotors are not available. I had much newer cars with front disc brakes that didn’t perform as well as aluminium drums.
