Heli Head
My '99 F150 keeps blowing out spark plugs, what is the best fix?
Have had 2 heli-coils done on the same cylinder, was told if it was the same 1 the next time would have to buy a new head
if you wanted a really backyard way to fix it you could jb weld(found at your local parts store) your heli coil in,however dont jb weld your spark plug in if you ever want it to come out again.like the gentleman said below,be carefull in starting that spark plug in there and dont use the wrench until you know its started on the right thread.

Aluminum Head 8mm spark plug hole stripped! what can i do!?
i would prefer no heli coil. it still threads in but won't tighten up.
Go to your favorite auto supply and get what's called a Heli-coil. They make a kit that will repair your problem. You won't have to remove the head. In the future use a thread chaser before installing your plugs, then a little anti-seize compound to help prevent this. Di electric grease on the plug wires make them easier to remove also.
