How can I get my Vizio 42" with optical out to send audio signal to the surround sound receiver.?
The light on the end of the optical glows when I plug it into the back of m HD cable box and it runs sound when I plug it into my Sony HTCT-100 surround reciver. But directly from the Vizio to the surround reciver I get nothing and no glow???
hmmm, is there any setting in the tv menu to turn on "digital" sound or "optical" or "Toslink" ..
or maybe the vizio only uses the optical port when something is being broadcast in dolby or dts.

300 SD Mercedes relay glow plugs question?
Right now my car will not start. the electrics are screwy right now like when i try to turn on the car the lights cant turn on and after a minuet their on. I think it might be the relay to the glow plugs thats messing everything up. when i try to start the car the little black relay box at the very right front corner of the car will start to rattle and make a sound like when a cellphone is set on vibrate and is going off on a table. Does anyone know if this could be the problem?
i dont know that car very well but if your relay is vibrating its not working right. it should click once when its turned on and off
