Gas-powered Trimmer smokes up when i start cutting?

Although i got it repaired the repairman told em that my gas-powered trimmer will smoke up when i start cutting plants. He said there was nothing wrong but i find it annoying. Can someone tell me what exactly is causing the smoking and what i can do to fix it myself -- if easy?

the smoke means the two cycle oil is doing its job.
actually a little too much smoke is better than not enough...unless you want o purchase a new one every year, which is not necessary. always wear protective glasses and if you want a dust mask...this should do fine...take good care!
