Coil Cond

1977 Dodge Power-wagon mystery?
2 days ago, my truck lost power (while in gear), backfired, stalled, and it restarted. The next day (no repairs) it would not start. Later, (nothing done, it starts! Now it runs VERY rough. Its start sporadically, and takes numerous attempts to turn over even with a jump. It's like it has a mind of its own and is making its own changes. Any clues on this one? Spark plugs, ignition wires, voltage, regulator, filters all work and in good/better cond Starter is less than 1 y.o. The only thing Ieft to suspect is the coil. Before this, it ran fine. The ONLY thing I did (other than drive) was to tighten a loose bolt in transfer case. This is really freaking me out. Any Ideas?
sounds like a stretched timing chain to me mark position of (so you can set back if need be) loosen bolt and turn distributor a little at a time and try to start it,this truck probably has a problem with timing because of a stretched timing chain or it jumped time continue to turn distributor or have some one set the timing for you with a timing light or set it yourself of course (I don't know if you have a timing light)
Frustrated Wit dis Hair!!

The programmable voltage is pretty cool, but you should really make it a switching supply. Then you can go for MOAR POWAH, like a 100 amp polyphase electrochemical beast, or a 385 Vdc supply with power factor correction, when you want to build a big honkin' power amplifier (motor control? tesla coil? induction heater?).
