Is it hard to learn a CAD/CAM program?


I'm computer literate so you know but am interested in working with CNC machines and making Blueprints.

If you are starting from scratch then it probably is, but if you have some training in draughting/engineering drawing then it will be easier. You will also need to know the Drawing Standards BS308 now superseded by BS8888.

CNC milling finds application making a wide range of custom parts. CNC milling is a cutting process in which material is removed from a block metal or plastic by a rotating tool. In CNC milling the cutting tool (called a “mill”) is moved in all three dimensions to cut a desired shape from stock.
In this process, the material is usually removed by both the end and the side of the cutting tool.
