Bottom Frame I have just bought a frame that has a French bottom bracket shell. Do I need a special spindle too?
The seller can provide the cups, but can I use a British standard spindle?
I am planning to fit it with a cotterless axle.
Thats a very good question but not one with a good answer.
Cottered spindles are usually a different diameter than cotterless. This is particularly true with the likes of Stronglight, TA, and some other French manufacturers.
I'd go ahead and try to use a cotterless spindle. Check to make sure that both use the same size bearings.

where can i buy a double metal bedframe with no frame on the bottom?
i need a company that can deliver to glasgow.all the frames ive seen have big metal bits on the bottom but i want one i can stick my feet out the bottom! i would like it in black or cream and would ideally like to spend no more than £350 on the frame and mattress.
