battery terminal connector help?

i have a 2006 hyundai Tuscon. The battery is dead and when i went to change it i noticed that the battery was set up so that i had to go to the dealer to get a new one. The posts have screws comming out of the top and the connectors look like cones and have bolts attached to the top to screw on. No auto shop sells a battery for it. I was thinkinkng of just changing the connectors at the end of the wires. the positive side however has 3 wires all bolted next to eachother on the connector. Would i be able to stack them all as long as they were all getting power?

the "cones you have mentioned actually come of away from the terminals so your battery is a "normal battery" and is widely available from auto shops, disconnect the negative wire, and then the positive wire, and get a screwdiver or pry bar, you may need a pair of plyers if it is seriously held on tight, and just prise the "cone" away from the terminal.

When you have got your replacement battery, simply knock the "cones" back on with a rubber mallet/copper hammer/ wooden mallet, so you dont damage the thread on the "cone".

re-attactch the positive lead first, then the negative, and hey presto, you have done it.

So there is no need to "stack" all the wires together.
