Aluminum Upgrade Anyone know how to determine what pitch size I would need for a 2004 Crownline 202LPX Boat w/ 350 Mag Alpha 1?
I currently have a stock black aluminum 19 pitch prop and am wanting to upgrade to a stainless steel and what brands do you recommend?
There is only one way to determine the proper prop and that is first decide what you want to use your boat for, skiing, fishing, cruising.
Once you have done that check with your dealer to get the suggested prop, and to check the max RPM for that engine.
Take the boat out rigged as you would for the type of boating that you have decided on,and try it.As a rule of thumb a change of 1" of pitch will change the RPM's by 200.That is if you go up 1" then the RPM's will drop by 200, and reduce pitch too increase RPM's.
Now ideally you want to have the max RPM's at WOT 200 RPM's below max RPM of the engines rating.
Also when you change from alum.to stainless you drop 1" of pitch, this is because stainless does not flex under load.
I hope these tips help in your decisions.

Searching for a VESA Adapter Bracket to mount your iMac computer to a arm or wall mount, but have not been able to find one, you are not alone. Thousands of iMac users with 17 inch and 20 inch models were left to figure out how to attach their computers to VESA mounting systems. With these iMac models, the stand is not easily removable. The iMac all-in-one computer was designed to be a portable system, much like a notebook computer, allowing users to relocate in their home or office, and to take it with them on their travels. The option for removing the stand (foot) and replacing it with a VESA bracket interface was not included with certain iMac models, including: aluminum iMac 20 inch, Intel iMac 17 and 20 inch, iMac G5 w/iSight 17 and 20 inch, iMac G5 (2006 and later) 17 and 20 inch.
The ability to mount the iMac computer to a wall or any mounting system requires that the iMac have a VESA compliant interface to attach to. For the size and the weight of the iMac, it is suggested that this interface offer the 100 x 100mm hole pattern for attachment. Furthermore, to remain industry standard these holes should use 4mm screw fasteners.
Not long ago, a client wanted to have their iMac computers mounted to the wall to save work space and it was assumed that there was a VESA adapter bracket available from Apple. When it came time to purchase the VESA adapter kits, we discovered these kits were either discontinued or not offered at all. Finding the necessary arm mounts and wall mount devices was simple, but attaching the iMac computers to those mounting systems was a new challenge.
Further investigation reveled there are many iMac users searching for the same VESA adapter solution, but with no prevail. It became apparent that in order to accommodate the clients needs, I would need to create an adapter kit from scratch. In discussing the adapter kit project with the client and people I had spoken with online, a few requirements for the kit were indicated. The top 3 requirements being:
(1) The adapter kit would not require the stand to be removed from the iMac. This provides the user the ability to not only mount their iMac to save space, but also use the iMac as a portable system since the stand remains in tact.
(2) The adapter kit would be interchangeable with both the 17 inch and 20 inch iMac computers, and provide a simple method for attachment.
(3) The VESA adapter kit should be esthetically suitable for the elegant iMac computer.
These requirements and others were considered when developing the VESA Adapter Kit for the iMac, and ultimately met. The adapter kit provides a VESA mounting solution for both the 17 inch and 20 inch iMac, including the new aluminum iMac 20. There would be no need to purchase a new kit when upgrading to a new model. The bracket interface provides the necessary 100 x 100mm means for attachment and mounting the plate to the iMac is very simple, and doesn't require any modifications to be made to the iMac. The kit is esthetically suitable and blends in with the iMac computer.
If you are searching for a iMac VESA Adapter Kit to mount your VESA non-compliant 17" and 20" iMac computer, your search is over! For more information, please visit my website.
